D-panthenol (B.COM) is a synthetic form of water soluble vitamin B5. When applied topically, D-panthenol (B.COM) is absorbed by the skin where it is converted into pantothenic acid. It is required to synthesize coenzyme-A (CoA) as well as is important for as well as to synthesize and metabolize proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.
