What are the possible side effects of Bacitracin zinc?
Get emergency medical help if your baby has any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
While receiving Bacitracin zinc injection, your baby will be watched for the following side effects:

diarrhea that is watery or bloody;

urinating more than usual or more often;
-
little or no urinating (fewer wet diapers);
-
blood in the urine;
-
lower back pain; or
-
painful urination.
Common side effects include:

nausea, vomiting;
-
mild skin rash; or
-
pain, burning, or swelling where the medicine was injected.

Side effects of Bacitracin zinc in details
This medication usually has no side effects. If you have any unusual effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
If your doctor has directed you to use this medication, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Rarely, use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in other types of skin infections (such as fungal or other bacterial infections). Contact your doctor if you notice any unusual skin symptoms or if your condition does not improve.
A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

What is the most important information I should know about Bacitracin zinc?
- Bacitracin zinc may cause blurred vision when you first put it in your eye. Do not drive, or perform other possibly unsafe tasks if you cannot see clearly.
- Be sure to use Bacitracin zinc for the full course of treatment. If you do not, the medicine may not clear up your infection completely. The bacteria could also become less sensitive to this or other medicines. This could make the infection harder to treat in the future.
- Do not use Bacitracin zinc for treating future eye problems without consulting your doctor.
- Long-term or repeated use of Bacitracin zinc may cause a second infection. Your doctor may want to change your medicine to treat the second infection. Contact your doctor if signs of a second infection occur.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you plan on becoming pregnant, contact your doctor. You will to discuss the benefits and risks of using Bacitracin zinc while you are pregnant. It is not known if this medicine is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.
Bacitracin zinc contraindications
Before your child receives Bacitracin zinc injection, tell the doctor if the child has a history of kidney disease.
Many other drugs can damage the kidneys and should not be used together with Bacitracin zinc. Tell your doctor if your child is receiving chemotherapy, medicines used to treat a bowel disorder, medications to prevent organ transplant rejection, antiviral medications, or any other injected antibiotics.

Serious side effects of Bacitracin zinc injection include urinating less than usual or not at all, blood in the urine, lower back pain, or painful urination.
Make sure your child receives this medication for the entire length of time prescribed by the doctor. Your child's symptoms may get better before the infection is completely treated. Bacitracin zinc injection will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu.
What are the possible side effects of Neomycin sulphate?

After application, eye ointments may be expected to cause your vision to blur for a few minutes.

What is the most important information I should know about Neomycin sulphate?
You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to Neomycin sulphate or similar antibiotics such as amikacin (Amikin), gentamicin (Garamycin), kanamycin (Kantrex), paromomycin (Humatin, Paromycin), streptomycin, or tobramycin (Nebcin, Tobi).
You should not take Neomycin sulphate if you have ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, a blockage in your intestines, or other inflammatory bowel disease.
Do not use Neomycin sulphate if you are pregnant. It could harm the unborn baby.
Before you take Neomycin sulphate, tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, myasthenia gravis, or Parkinson's disease.
Never take Neomycin sulphate in larger amounts than recommended, or for longer than 2 weeks. High doses or long-term use of Neomycin sulphate can cause serious kidney problems, or hearing loss that may not be reversible. The longer you take Neomycin sulphate, the more likely you are to develop these serious side effects.
To be sure this medication is not causing harmful effects, your kidney function, and your nerve and muscle function will need to be tested often. You may also need hearing tests. Neomycin sulphate can have long lasting effects on your body. Do not miss any follow up visits to your doctor for blood or urine tests.
Neomycin sulphate can harm your kidneys, and this effect is increased when you also use certain other medicines harmful to the kidneys. Before using Neomycin sulphate, tell your doctor about all other medicines you use. Many other drugs (including some over-the-counter medicines) can be harmful to the kidneys.
If you are being treated for hepatic coma, avoid eating foods that are high in protein. Follow your doctor's instructions about any other restrictions on food, beverages, or activity.

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

- Dizziness
- drowsiness
- fever
- headache
- numbness or tingling in hands or feet
- pain in the lower back or side
- shakiness and unsteady walk
- stiff neck
- unsteadiness, trembling, or other problems with muscle control or coordination
Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Side effects of Polymyxin B sulphate in details
Nephrotoxic reactions: Albuminuria, cylin-duria, azotemia, and rising blood levels without any increase in dosage.
Neurotoxic reactions: Facial flushing, dizziness progressing to ataxia, drowsiness, peripheral paresthesias (circumoral and stocking glove), apnea due to concurrent use of curariform muscle relaxants, other neurotoxic drugs or inadvertent overdosage, and signs of meningeal irritation with intrathecal administration, e.g., fever, headache, stiff neck and increased cell count and protein cerebrospinal fluid.
Other reactions occasionally reported: Drug fever, urticarial rash, pain (severe) at intramuscular injection sites, and thrombophlebitis at intravenous injection sites.
Polymyxin B sulphate contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Polymyxin B sulphate or any component of the formulation
