Pharmacology: Properties and Actions: Entsol Nasal Wash (Entsol Nasal Wash) is a nasal spray composed of saline solution that duplicates the physiological components of normal nasal secretions.
Entsol Nasal Wash (Entsol Nasal Wash) acts safely to wash and humidify the air passages in the nose. Entsol Nasal Wash (Entsol Nasal Wash) also helps maintain and restore normal moisture of nasal mucous membranes.
Entsol Nasal Wash (Entsol Nasal Wash) provides a convenient and practical method of washing and clearing nasal passages of dusts, dirt, crusted mucus, pollens, pollutants, allergens and other irritants.
Entsol Nasal Wash (Entsol Nasal Wash) loosens thick nasal mucus secretions to facilitate removal from the nose and sinuses. It also restores vital moisture to provide relief for dry, crusted, irritated and inflamed nasal membranes due to colds, allergies, low humidity, use of steroid nasal spray, overuse of topical nasal decongestants and other nasal solutions, chronic sinusitis, or rebound sinus reaction from smog.

How should I take Entsol Nasal Wash?

Tell your doctor if you are on a low-salt or sodium diet.
To prepare Entsol Nasal Wash isotonic solution:
- Dissolve one tablet in 120 milliliters (mL) of distilled water.
- Use as directed by your doctor.
Dosing
The dose of Entsol Nasal Wash will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. The following information includes only the average doses of Entsol Nasal Wash. If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so.
The amount of medicine that you take depends on the strength of the medicine. Also, the number of doses you take each day, the time allowed between doses, and the length of time you take the medicine depend on the medical problem for which you are using the medicine.

Storage
Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep from freezing.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed.

Entsol Nasal Wash pharmacology
Entsol Nasal Wash, by inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the ascending limb of the loop of Henle, increases the urinary excretion of sodium, chloride, and water. Entsol Nasal Wash also increases the excretion of potassium, hydrogen, calcium, magnesium, ammonium, and phosphate and, as it inhibits carbonic anhydrase, bicarbonate.
