What happens if I overdose Medi-Meclizine?
Contact 1-800-222-1222 (the American Association of Poison Control Centers), your local poison control center, or emergency room immediately. Symptoms may include drowsiness; hallucinations; seizures; unusual excitability; very slow or shallow breathing.
Proper storage of Medi-Meclizine chewable tablets:
Store at room temperature, below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Medi-Meclizine chewable tablets out of the reach of children and away from pets.
Overdose of Medi-Meclizine in details
If someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing, call 911. Otherwise, call a poison control center right away. US residents can call their local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Canada residents can call a provincial poison control center. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe drowsiness, seizures, widened pupils. In children, mental/mood changes (such as restlessness, irritability, hallucinations) may occur before drowsiness.

Keep all regular medical and laboratory appointments.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Storage
Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medications away from children and pets.
Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company.
What should I avoid while taking Medi-Meclizine?
Avoid driving or hazardous activity until you know how Medi-Meclizine will affect you. Your reactions could be impaired.
Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of Medi-Meclizine.
Medi-Meclizine warnings
Use this medication exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended.
Do not give this medication to a child younger than 12 years old. Medi-Meclizine can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol. It can increase some of the side effects of Medi-Meclizine.
Cold or allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression or anxiety can add to sleepiness caused by Medi-Meclizine. Avoid taking these other medications at the same time you take Medi-Meclizine.
You should not take this medication if you are allergic to Medi-Meclizine.
Before taking Medi-Meclizine, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have:
asthma or other breathing disorder;
glaucoma;
an enlarged prostate; or
problems with urination.
If you have any of these conditions, you may not be able to use this medication, or you may need a dose adjustment or special tests during treatment.
FDA pregnancy category B. Medi-Meclizine is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. It is not known whether Medi-Meclizine passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. Do not give this medication to a child younger than 12 years old.

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Medi-Meclizine?
Some medical conditions may interact with Medi-Meclizine chewable tablets. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:
- if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
- if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
- if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
- you have asthma; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); chronic bronchitis or emphysema; blockage of the stomach, intestine, or urinary tract; kidney or liver problems; enlarged prostate; or glaucoma
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Medi-Meclizine chewable tablets. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:
- Perampanel or sodium oxybate (GHB) because they may increase the risk of Medi-Meclizine chewable tablets's side effects
This may not be a complete list of all interactions that may occur. Ask your health care provider if Medi-Meclizine chewable tablets may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.
Medi-Meclizine precautions
Nursing Mothers
It is not known whether this drug is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when Medi-Meclizine is administered to a nursing woman.
Hepatic Impairment
The effect of hepatic impairment on the pharmacokinetics of Medi-Meclizine has not been evaluated. As Medi-Meclizine undergoes metabolism, hepatic impairment may result in increased systemic exposure of the drug. Treatment with Medi-Meclizine should be administered with caution in patients with hepatic impairment.
Renal Impairment
The effect of renal impairment on the pharmacokinetics of Medi-Meclizine has not been evaluated. Due to a potential for drug/metabolite accumulation, Medi-Meclizine should be administered with caution in patients with renal impairment and in the elderly as renal function generally declines with age.
Drug Interactions
There may be increased CNS depression when Medi-Meclizine is administered concurrently with other CNS depressants, including alcohol, tranquilizers, and sedatives.
Based on in-vitro evaluation, Medi-Meclizine is metabolized by CYP2D6. Therefore there is a possibility for a drug interaction between Medi-Meclizine and CYP2D6 inhibitors.
What happens if I miss a dose of Medi-Meclizine?
Since Medi-Meclizine is sometimes taken only when needed, you may not be on a dosing schedule. If you are taking the medication regularly, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
