Pregnancy of Oki in details
Oki has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies failed to reveal evidence of embryotoxicity or teratogenicity except at doses which produced significant maternal toxicity. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. When used late in pregnancy, it may cause premature closure of the ductus arteriosus and prolong labor and delivery. Oki is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk. Oki should be avoided near term.
