Phencotil warnings

Do not administer concurrently with CNS depressants such as barbiturates, tranquilizers and alcohol. The indiscriminate use in patients with asthma and emphysema can cause respiratory failure by increased viscosity of bronchial secretions and suppression of cough reflex. The administration (specifically codeine) should not be so long that it can induce dependence.
