Piperacilline/Tazobactam Stravencon cross the placenta.
Due to pregnancy-induced physiologic changes, some pharmacokinetic properties of Piperacilline/Tazobactam Stravencon may be altered (Bourget 1998). Piperacilline/Tazobactam Stravencon is approved for the treatment of postpartum gynecologic infections, including endometritis or pelvic inflammatory disease, caused by susceptible organisms.

The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering Piperacillin (Piperacilline/Tazobactam (Piperacilline/Tazobactam Stravencon) Stravencon)-Tazobactam (Piperacilline/Tazobactam Stravencon) to nursing women.
