What happens if I overdose Proshield Plus Skin Protectant?

Contact 1-800-222-1222 (the American Association of Poison Control Centers), your local, or emergency room immediately. Proshield Plus Skin Protectant spray may be harmful if swallowed.

Store Proshield Plus Skin Protectant spray at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Do not freeze. Keep Proshield Plus Skin Protectant spray out of the reach of children and away from pets.

Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Proshield Plus Skin Protectant cream. However, no specific interactions with Proshield Plus Skin Protectant cream are known at this time.

Ask your health care provider if Proshield Plus Skin Protectant cream may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.

Proshield Plus Skin Protectant precautions

Proshield Plus Skin Protectant is to be used only as directed by a healthcare practitioner. It should not be used to treat any condition other than that for which it is prescribed. For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, and other mucous membranes. Exposure of the eye to Proshield Plus Skin Protectant may result in reactions such as stinging and ocular irritation.

If a reaction to Proshield Plus Skin Protectant suggesting sensitivity or chemical irritation occurs, use of the medication should be discontinued and the prescribing healthcare practitioner consulted. This product provides no sunscreen protection. Use of sunscreen products and protective clothing over treated areas is recommended when exposure cannot be avoided.

Certain temporary symptoms such as erythema, dryness, scaling, burning or pruritus may be experienced. These are most likely to occur during the first two to four weeks and will usually lessen with continued use of the medication. Depending upon the severity of the reaction patients should be instructed to reduce the frequency of application or discontinue use and to contact their prescribing healthcare practitioner.
