Silonol 40 interactions
The sedative effects of antitussives enhanced by alcohol, therefore care should be exercised when driving or operating a machinery.
- Coadministration of clobutinol chlorhydrate and antidepressant drugs or neuroleptics, theophylline, forte doses of penicillins by general route, may induce seizures.
- Coadministered of morphine analgesic drugs, H1 antihystamine and anxiolytic with this medicine will increase the CNS sedative effects.
Silonol 40 side effects
Occasional nausea and vomiting, and in rare cases agitation, skin rash, urticaria, and sleep disturbances were noticed.
Also diarrhoea and abdominal pain were noticed due to the presence of sorbitol in the syrup.
Silonol 40 contraindications
Asthmatic bronchitis.
- Epilepsy and predisposition for convulsions.
- Respiratory insufficiency.
- Fructose hereditary intolerance.
- Pregnancy. It was recently determined to cause cardiac arrhythmia in some patientsproducts containing clobutinol were withdrawn from sale in Germany, and the rest of the world, on August 31, 2007
