Softinelle is a combined oral contraceptive. Each active tablet contains a small quantity of 2 different female hormones called Drospirenone (Softinelle) (a progestogen) and Ethinylestradiol (Softinelle) (an estrogen). Drospirenone (Softinelle) possess antiandrogenic and mild antimineralocorticoid properties. The contraceptive effect of Drospirenone (Softinelle) and Ethinylestradiol (Softinelle) is based on the interaction of various factors eg, the inhibition of ovulation and changes in the endometrium.
