What are the possible side effects of Taizer?
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction to Taizer: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Common Taizer side effects may include:

dry mouth;

tired feeling; or

drowsiness.

Side effects of Taizer in details

In addition to its needed effects, some unwanted effects may be caused by Taizer (the active ingredient contained in Taizer). In the event that any of these side effects do occur, they may require medical attention.
Major Side Effects
You should check with your doctor immediately if any of these side effects occur when taking Taizer:
Incidence not known:
- Cough
- difficulty swallowing
- dizziness
- drowsiness
- fast heartbeat
- hives
- itching
- puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
- shortness of breath
- skin rash
- tightness in the chest
- unusual tiredness or weakness
Minor Side Effects
Some of the side effects that can occur with Taizer may not need medical attention. As your body adjusts to the medicine during treatment these side effects may go away. Your health care professional may also be able to tell you about ways to reduce or prevent some of these side effects. If any of the following side effects continue, are bothersome or if you have any questions about them, check with your health care professional:
Rare
- Blurred vision
- Dry mouth
- headache
What is the most important information I should know about Taizer?
- Taizer chewable tablets may cause drowsiness or blurred vision. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Taizer chewable tablets with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
- Do not drink alcohol while you are taking Taizer chewable tablets.
- Check with your doctor before you use medicines that may cause drowsiness (eg, sleep aids, muscle relaxers) while you are using Taizer chewable tablets; it may add to their effects. Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines may cause drowsiness.
- This product may contain tartrazine dye (FD&C Yellow No. 5). This may cause an allergic reaction in some patients. If you have ever had an allergic reaction to tartrazine, ask your pharmacist if your product has tartrazine in it.
- Use Taizer chewable tablets with caution in the ELDERLY; they may be more sensitive to its effects.
- Taizer chewable tablets should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 12 years old; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Taizer chewable tablets while you are pregnant. It is not known if Taizer chewable tablets is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Taizer chewable tablets, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.
Taizer contraindications
You should not take this medication if you are allergic to Taizer.
Before you take Taizer, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, asthma, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, or urination problems.
This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of Taizer.
Cold or allergy medicine, sedatives, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression or anxiety can add to sleepiness caused by Taizer.
