What are the possible side effects of Tur-Bi-Cal?
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction to Tur-Bi-Cal: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using Tur-Bi-Cal and call your doctor at once if you have:

fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat;
-
severe dizziness or anxiety;
-
easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms; or
-
dangerously high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, ringing in your ears, anxiety, confusion, chest pain, trouble breathing, uneven heart rate, seizure).
Common Tur-Bi-Cal side effects may include:

loss of appetite;
-
warmth, tingling, or redness under your skin;
-
feeling restless or excited (especially in children);
-
sleep problems (insomnia); or
-
skin rash or itching.

Side effects of Tur-Bi-Cal in details

In addition to its needed effects, some unwanted effects may be caused by Tur-Bi-Cal (the active ingredient contained in Tur-Bi-Cal). In the event that any of these side effects do occur, they may require medical attention.
If any of the following side effects occur while taking Tur-Bi-Cal, check with your doctor or nurse immediately:
Incidence not known:
- Blurred vision
- chest pain or discomfort
- difficult or labored breathing
- dizziness
- fainting
- fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat
- headache
- nausea or vomiting
- nervousness
- pain in the shoulders, arms, jaw, or neck
- pounding in the ears
- sweating
- tightness in the chest
- unusual tiredness
If any of the following symptoms of overdose occur while taking Tur-Bi-Cal, get emergency help immediately:
Symptoms of overdose:
- Feeling of fullness in the head
- pounding or rapid pulse
- tingling in the arms or legs
- vomiting
Minor Side Effects
Some of the side effects that can occur with Tur-Bi-Cal may not need medical attention. As your body adjusts to the medicine during treatment these side effects may go away. Your health care professional may also be able to tell you about ways to reduce or prevent some of these side effects. If any of the following side effects continue, are bothersome or if you have any questions about them, check with your health care professional:

- itching skin
- nausea
- pain in the neck
- pain or discomfort in chest, upper stomach, or throat
What is the most important information I should know about Tur-Bi-Cal?
- Tur-Bi-Cal liquid may cause dizziness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Tur-Bi-Cal liquid. Using Tur-Bi-Cal liquid alone, with certain other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or perform other potentially dangerous tasks.
- If your symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if you develop a high fever, check with your doctor.
- If you have trouble sleeping, ask your pharmacist or doctor about the best time to take Tur-Bi-Cal liquid.
- Do not take diet or appetite control medicines while you are taking Tur-Bi-Cal liquid.
- Phenylketonuria patients - Tur-Bi-Cal liquid may contain phenylalanine.
- Diabetes patients - Tur-Bi-Cal liquid may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely and ask your doctor before adjusting the dose of your diabetes medicine.
- Use Tur-Bi-Cal liquid with caution in the ELDERLY because they may be more sensitive to its effects.
- Use Tur-Bi-Cal liquid with extreme caution in CHILDREN younger than 2 years of age. Safety and effectiveness in this age group have not been confirmed.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Tur-Bi-Cal liquid during pregnancy. It is unknown if Tur-Bi-Cal liquid is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Tur-Bi-Cal liquid, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
When used for long periods of time or at high doses, some people develop a need to continue taking Tur-Bi-Cal liquid. This is known as DEPENDENCE or addiction. If you are addicted and suddenly stop taking Tur-Bi-Cal liquid, you may experience WITHDRAWAL symptoms, including depression.
Tur-Bi-Cal contraindications
Minims Tur-Bi-Cal hydrochloride should not be used in patients with severe hypertension, ventricular tachycardia, or in patients who are hypersensitive to it or to any of the components.
