Overdose of Xolaam in details
Symptoms: Diarrhea is only one sign in normal patients. Adrenopause patients will have magnesium poisoning with the following signs: Dry mouth, drowsiness, listless and diminished respiration. Treatment: Cleaning the stomach and taking a purgative not including magnesium.
Xolaam warnings
Xolaam is used to treat stomach and duodenal (upper small intestine) ulcers; hypersecretory (increased acid secretion) conditions; heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease (stomach contents bubbling into the esophagus causing pain). Notify your physician if you are pregnant or nursing. Xolaam may be taken with or without food. Shake the oral suspension vigorously for 5-10 seconds before taking. Unused oral suspension should be discarded after 30 days. Notify your physician if you develop black, tarry stools or coffee-ground vomit.
Xolaam precautions
Do not take Xolaam for a long time. If you have kidney disease, follow the advice and supervision of the physician.
Xolaam should be used with caution in patients with chronic diarrhea or renal impairment, patients with constipation, gastrointestinal or rectum hemorrhage.
Do not use the maximum dosage for >2 weeks or use not under the advice and supervision of the physician.
Magnesium salt will make depression. The reaction between aluminum salt and phosphate will form aluminum phosphate, insoluble in water, which is the cause of phosphorus deficiency in those patients whose diet is low in phosphorus.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: Caution is advised when using Xolaam in this population.
