Bronchosolvin is useful in the treatment of cough associated with chronic bronchitis, emphysema and bronchial asthma.
Bronchosolvin dosage
Adult: 10ml tid; Child 3-6 yrs: 2.5-5ml; Child >6 yrs: 5-10ml. Both tid depending upon severity & response.
Bronchosolvin interactions
Concomitant use of Bronchosolvin with other sympathomimetic agents may lead to deleterious cardiovascular effects.
Bronchosolvin side effects
Bronchosolvin is generally well tolerated. Reported side effects aretremor, irritability, insomnia, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, palpitation, paradoxical bronchoconstriction.
Bronchosolvin contraindications
Bronchosolvin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitvity to the ingredients, cardiac patients with associated arrhythmia, ischaemic heart disease and acute hypertensive patients, patients undergoing anaesthesia,patients on MAOI’s therapy, first trimester of pregnancy, acute porphyria, thyrotoxicosis.
