this antacid is useful for the temporary relief of occasional indigestion and heartburn. Frequent, daily or nightly symptoms usually mean a more serious problem. Antacids by themselves do not correct these problems. The medications that are now available to treat acid problems are generally superior to antacids.
The second and more important use of calcium carbonate is as a source of calcium, necessary for bones and teeth and to prevent osteoporosis. A quart of milk contains about 1500 mg of calcium which is about what you need. Otherwise this or a similar calcium preparation can be taken.
How should I use Cvs Gas Relief?
Use Cvs Gas Relief strips as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Use Cvs Gas Relief strips as needed after meals and before bedtime, unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
- Do not remove the strip from the pouch until you are ready to use Cvs Gas Relief strips. Make sure that your hands are dry when you handle Cvs Gas Relief strips.
- Remove the strip from the pouch and place it on the tongue. The strip dissolves quickly and can be swallowed with saliva. Cvs Gas Relief strips may be taken with or without water.
- Use the strip immediately after opening the pouch. Do not store the strip for future use.
- Do not use more than 6 strips in 24 hours unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
- If you miss a dose of Cvs Gas Relief strips, use it as soon as you remember. Continue to use it as directed by your doctor or on the package label.

Uses of Cvs Gas Relief in details
This product is used to relieve symptoms of extra gas caused by air swallowing or certain foods/infant formulas. Cvs Gas Relief helps break up gas bubbles in the gut.
How to use Cvs Gas Relief
Shake the container well before each use. Give this product by mouth as needed, usually after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by the doctor. Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult the doctor or pharmacist.
Fill the dropper to the correct dosage and squeeze the liquid slowly into the baby's mouth, towards the inner cheek. You can also measure the correct dosage with the dropper and mix it in 1 ounce of cool water, infant formula, or juice. Mix well and give the solution to your baby. The proper dosage is based on your child's age and weight.
If you are treating the child yourself (without direction from a doctor), do not use more than 12 doses of Cvs Gas Relief per day.
Clean the dropper well after each use and close the bottle tightly.
If your child's condition persists or worsens, or if you think there may be a serious medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.

2 to 12 years: 40 mg orally 4 times a day. For the 40 mg strips, allow 1 strip to dissolve on the tongue as needed after meals and at bedtime. Do not exceed 6 strips in 24 hours except under the advice and supervision of a physician.
12 to 18 years: 40 to 125 mg orally after meals and at bedtime as needed, not to exceed 500 mg/24 hours.
Usual Pediatric Dose for Endoscopy or Radiology Premedication
Child >12 years: 67 mg as an oral suspension in 2.5 mL of water given shortly before the procedure.
