What are the possible side effects of Ergix?
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome:
Diarrhea; nausea; stomach upset.
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); blood in the stools; irregular heartbeat; symptoms of low blood sugar (eg, dizziness, drowsiness, fainting, weakness, increased hunger, increased sweating, headache, chills, tremors); vomit that looks like blood or coffee grounds.

Side effects of Ergix in details
Capsules, Syrup and Paediatric Syrup:
Immune System Disorders
There have been reports of anaphylactic reactions and fixed drug eruption.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders
There have been reports of skin rashes and allergic skin eruptions.
Capsules and Syrup:
Gastrointestinal disorders
There have been rare reports of gastrointestinal bleeding occurring during treatment with Mucodyne.
What is the most important information I should know about Ergix?
- Ergix chewable tablets may cause dizziness. This effect may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Ergix chewable tablets with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
- Diabetes patients - Ergix chewable tablets may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely. Ask your doctor before you change the dose of your diabetes medicine.
- Ergix chewable tablets should not be used in INFANTS; safety and effectiveness in infants have not been confirmed.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Ergix chewable tablets while you are pregnant. Do not breast-feed while taking Ergix chewable tablets.
Ergix contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Ergix or the presence of an active peptic ulcer. Although there is no evidence that Ergix has any physical or chemical effect on gastric mucus, the possibility of a change in gastric mucus cannot be excluded.
