What is Nolargin?

Cleansing skin and wound areas. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Nolargin is a topical antimicrobial. It works by reacting with the microbial cell surface, destroying the cell membrane, and killing the cell.

Uses of Nolargin in details

Garlic has been used for hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis) and high blood pressure (hypertension). Consult your doctor for more information if you have heart disease or high blood pressure. Garlic has also been used to prevent tick bites.

Nolargin description

Nolargin mouthwash contains chlorhexidine digluconate 1% v/v, equivalent to chlorhexidine gluconate solution 0.2% w/v. It also contains ethanol, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, sorbitol, flavour and water.

Nolargin dosage

Surgical scrub Pre-op hand disinfection Wet hands, apply 5 mL undiluted scrub & wash for 1 min. Clean fingernails & rinse thoroughly. Apply a further 5 mL & wash for 2 min. Rinse thoroughly & dry. As an antiseptic skin cleanser Wash area to be cleaned. Apply sufficient undiluted scrub & wash for 1 min. Rinse thoroughly & dry. Nolargin Hand Rub soln Apply 3 mL to hands, spread thoroughly & rub vigorously until dry. Use undiluted. Nolargin Pink Pre-op skin disinfection prior to minor surgical procedures Apply topically.

Nolargin interactions

Chlorhexidine is incompatible with the soap, and detergents containing anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose).

Nolargin ICPA Health Products is compatible with any medication containing cationic group (cetrimonium bromide, benzalkonium chloride).

Salbutamol

The adverse reactions to salbutamol are similar in nature to reactions to other sympathomimetic agents. The most frequent adverse reactions to salbutamol are nervousness, tremor, headache, tachycardia, and palpitations. Less frequent adverse reactions are muscle cramps, insomnia, nausea, weakness, dizziness, drowsiness, flushing, restlessness, irritability, chest discomfort, and difficulty in micturition.

Rare cases of urticaria, angio-oedema, rash, bronchospasm, and oropharyngeal oedema have been reported after the use of salbutamol.

In addition, salbutamol, like other sympathomimetic agents, can cause adverse reactions such as hypertension, angina, vomiting, vertigo, central nervous system stimulation, unusual taste, and drying or irritation of the oropharynx.

Bromhexine

Bromhexine`s pharmacological action may lead to gastric irritation. A transient rise in serum aminotransferase values has been reported due to bromhexine.

Side effects include fear, anxiety, restlessness, tremor, insomnia, confusion, irritability, weakness and psychotic states. Appetite may be reduced and nausea and vomiting may occur. Hypotension with dizziness and fainting and flushing may occur. Other effects that may occur include difficulty in micturition and urinary retention; dyspnoea; weakness; headache; disturbances of glucose metabolism; and sweating and hypersalivation. Muscle cramps or twitching, or unpleasant taste may occur.
