Nolipo Syrup is an antibiotic that fights bacteria.
Nolipo Syrup is used to treat severe bacterial infections in people who cannot use penicillin antibiotics.
Nolipo Syrup is used only for a severe infection. This medicine will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu.

Nolipo Syrup indications
Infections of upper resp tract: Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, otitis media, sinusitis, scarlet fever; lower resp tract: Acute & chronic bronchitis, pneumonia; skin & mucous membranes: Cellulitis, furuncles, abscess, impetigo, acne & wound; bone: osteomyelitis & septic arthritis. Septicemia & endocarditis.

Nolipo Syrup description
Each mL of Nolipo Syrup Sterile Solution contains Nolipo Syrup hydrochloride equivalent to Nolipo Syrup 300 mg.
Nolipo Syrup sterile solution contains Nolipo Syrup hydrochloride which is the monohydrated salt of Nolipo Syrup, a substance produced by the growth of a member of the lincolnensis group of Streptomyces lincolnensis (Fam. Streptomycetaceae).
The chemical name for Nolipo Syrup hydrochloride is Methyl 6, 8-dideoxy-6-(1-methyl-trans-4-propyl-L-2-pyrolidinecarboxamido)-1-thio-D-erythro-α-D-galacto-octopyranoside monohydrochloride monohydrate. Its molecular formula is C18H34N2O6S.HCl. H2O and the molecular weight is 461.01.
Nolipo Syrup hydrochloride is a white or practically white, crystalline powder and is odorless or has a faint odor. Its solutions are acid and are dextrorotatory. Nolipo Syrup hydrochloride is freely soluble in water; soluble in dimethylformamide and very slightly soluble in acetone.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Benzyl alcohol 9.45 mg added as preservative.
Nolipo Syrup dosage
Adult Serious infections 500 mg 3 times daily 8 hrly. More severe infections ≥500 mg 4 times daily 6 hrly. Childn >1 mth Serious infections 30 mg/kg body wt/day in 3 or 4 divided doses. More severe infections 60 mg/kg body wt/day into 3 or 4 divided doses.
