Ucdex SYRUP indications

Ucdex SYRUP is useful in the treatment of cough associated with chronic bronchitis, emphysema and bronchial asthma.

Ucdex SYRUP dosage

Adult: 10ml tid; Child 3-6 yrs: 2.5-5ml; Child >6 yrs: 5-10ml. Both tid depending upon severity & response.

Ucdex SYRUP interactions

Concomitant use of Ucdex SYRUP with other sympathomimetic agents may lead to deleterious cardiovascular effects.

Ucdex SYRUP side effects

Ucdex SYRUP is generally well tolerated. Reported side effects aretremor, irritability, insomnia, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, palpitation, paradoxical bronchoconstriction.

Ucdex SYRUP contraindications

Ucdex SYRUP is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitvity to the ingredients, cardiac patients with associated arrhythmia, ischaemic heart disease and acute hypertensive patients, patients undergoing anaesthesia,patients on MAOI’s therapy, first trimester of pregnancy, acute porphyria, thyrotoxicosis.
