Cofsed XT indications

Cofsed XT is useful in the treatment of cough associated with chronic bronchitis, emphysema and bronchial asthma.
Cofsed XT dosage
Adult: 10ml tid; Child 3-6 yrs: 2.5-5ml; Child >6 yrs: 5-10ml. Both tid depending upon severity & response.
Cofsed XT interactions
Concomitant use of Cofsed XT with other sympathomimetic agents may lead to deleterious cardiovascular effects.
Cofsed XT side effects
Cofsed XT is generally well tolerated. Reported side effects aretremor, irritability, insomnia, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, palpitation, paradoxical bronchoconstriction.
Cofsed XT contraindications
Cofsed XT is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitvity to the ingredients, cardiac patients with associated arrhythmia, ischaemic heart disease and acute hypertensive patients, patients undergoing anaesthesia,patients on MAOI’s therapy, first trimester of pregnancy, acute porphyria, thyrotoxicosis.
