Chupp is useful in the treatment of cough associated with chronic bronchitis, emphysema and bronchial asthma.
Chupp dosage
Adult: 10ml tid; Child 3-6 yrs: 2.5-5ml; Child >6 yrs: 5-10ml. Both tid depending upon severity & response.
Chupp interactions
Concomitant use of Chupp with other sympathomimetic agents may lead to deleterious cardiovascular effects.
Chupp side effects
Chupp is generally well tolerated. Reported side effects aretremor, irritability, insomnia, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, palpitation, paradoxical bronchoconstriction.
Chupp contraindications
Chupp is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitvity to the ingredients, cardiac patients with associated arrhythmia, ischaemic heart disease and acute hypertensive patients, patients undergoing anaesthesia,patients on MAOI’s therapy, first trimester of pregnancy, acute porphyria, thyrotoxicosis.
