What is Ru-Vert-M?
Ru-Vert-M (Ru-Vert-M) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body.
Ru-Vert-M is used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is also used to treat symptoms of vertigo (dizziness or spinning sensation) caused by disease that affects your inner ear.
Ru-Vert-M may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Ru-Vert-M indications
Ru-Vert-M is an antihistamine and anticholinergic. It works by blocking a chemical messenger in the brain, which helps to reduce or prevent vomiting.
Ru-Vert-M is used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is also used for vertigo (or dizziness) caused by certain inner ear problems.
How should I use Ru-Vert-M?
Use Ru-Vert-M chewable tablets as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Take Ru-Vert-M chewable tablets by mouth with or without food.
- Ru-Vert-M chewable tablets may be chewed or swallowed whole.
- For prevention of motion sickness, take Ru-Vert-M chewable tablets at least 1 hour before activity or travel.
- Use Ru-Vert-M chewable tablets exactly as directed on the package, unless instructed differently by your doctor. Follow any warnings and precautions on the label.
- If you miss a dose of Ru-Vert-M chewable tablets and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Uses of Ru-Vert-M in details
Ru-Vert-M is an antihistamine that is used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It may also be used to reduce dizziness and loss of balance (vertigo) caused by inner ear problems.
How to use Ru-Vert-M
Follow all directions on the product package. If your doctor has prescribed this medication, take it as directed. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth with or without food. The chewable tablets should be chewed thoroughly before being swallowed.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Do not increase your dose or take this medication more often than directed.
To prevent motion sickness, take the first dose one hour before starting activity such as travel.
Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens.

Vertigo
For the control of vertigo associated with diseases affecting the vestibular system, the recommended dose is 25 to 100 mg daily, in divided dosage, depending upon clinical response.
Motion Sickness
The initial dose of 25 to 50 mg of Ru-Vert-M should be taken one hour prior to embarkation for protection against motion sickness. Thereafter, the dose may be repeated every 24 hours for the duration of the journey.

What other drugs will affect Ru-Vert-M?
There may be increased CNS depression when Ru-Vert-M is administered concurrently with other CNS depressants, including alcohol, tranquilizers, and sedatives.
Based on in-vitro evaluation, Ru-Vert-M is metabolized by CYP2D6. Therefore there is a possibility for a drug interaction between Ru-Vert-M and CYP2D6 inhibitors.

Minor Side Effects
Some of the side effects that can occur with Ru-Vert-M may not need medical attention. As your body adjusts to the medicine during treatment these side effects may go away. Your health care professional may also be able to tell you about ways to reduce or prevent some of these side effects. If any of the following side effects continue, are bothersome or if you have any questions about them, check with your health care professional:

You should not take this medication if you are allergic to Ru-Vert-M.
Before you take Ru-Vert-M, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, asthma, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, or urination problems.
This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of Ru-Vert-M.
Cold or allergy medicine, sedatives, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression or anxiety can add to sleepiness caused by Ru-Vert-M.
