What is Travel-Ease?

Travel-Ease (Travel-Ease) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body.

Travel-Ease is used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is also used to treat symptoms of vertigo (dizziness or spinning sensation) caused by disease that affects your inner ear.

Travel-Ease is an antihistamine that is used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It may also be used to reduce dizziness and loss of balance (vertigo) caused by inner ear problems.

How to use Travel-Ease

Follow all directions on the product package. If your doctor has prescribed this medication, take it as directed. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Take this medication by mouth with or without food. The chewable tablets should be chewed thoroughly before being swallowed.

Vertigo

For the control of vertigo associated with diseases affecting the vestibular system, the recommended dose is 25 to 100 mg daily, in divided dosage, depending upon clinical response.

Motion Sickness

The initial dose of 25 to 50 mg of Travel-Ease should be taken one hour prior to embarkation for protection against motion sickness. Thereafter, the dose may be repeated every 24 hours for the duration of the journey.

There may be increased CNS depression when Travel-Ease is administered concurrently with other CNS depressants, including alcohol, tranquilizers, and sedatives.

Based on in-vitro evaluation, Travel-Ease is metabolized by CYP2D6. Therefore there is a possibility for a drug interaction between Travel-Ease and CYP2D6 inhibitors.

You should not take this medication if you are allergic to Travel-Ease.

Before you take Travel-Ease, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, asthma, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, or urination problems.

This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.

Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of Travel-Ease.

Cold or allergy medicine, sedatives, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression or anxiety can add to sleepiness caused by Travel-Ease.
