What is Travel-Ease?
Travel-Ease (Travel-Ease) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body.
Travel-Ease is used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is also used to treat symptoms of vertigo (dizziness or spinning sensation) caused by disease that affects your inner ear.
Travel-Ease may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Travel-Ease indications
Travel-Ease is an antihistamine and anticholinergic. It works by blocking a chemical messenger in the brain, which helps to reduce or prevent vomiting.
Travel-Ease is used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is also used for vertigo (or dizziness) caused by certain inner ear problems.
How should I use Travel-Ease?
Use Travel-Ease chewable tablets as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Take Travel-Ease chewable tablets by mouth with or without food.
- Travel-Ease chewable tablets may be chewed or swallowed whole.
- For prevention of motion sickness, take Travel-Ease chewable tablets at least 1 hour before activity or travel.
- Use Travel-Ease chewable tablets exactly as directed on the package, unless instructed differently by your doctor. Follow any warnings and precautions on the label.
- If you miss a dose of Travel-Ease chewable tablets and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Uses of Travel-Ease in details
Travel-Ease is an antihistamine that is used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It may also be used to reduce dizziness and loss of balance (vertigo) caused by inner ear problems.
How to use Travel-Ease
Follow all directions on the product package. If your doctor has prescribed this medication, take it as directed. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth with or without food. The chewable tablets should be chewed thoroughly before being swallowed.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Do not increase your dose or take this medication more often than directed.
To prevent motion sickness, take the first dose one hour before starting activity such as travel.
Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens.

Vertigo
For the control of vertigo associated with diseases affecting the vestibular system, the recommended dose is 25 to 100 mg daily, in divided dosage, depending upon clinical response.
Motion Sickness
The initial dose of 25 to 50 mg of Travel-Ease should be taken one hour prior to embarkation for protection against motion sickness. Thereafter, the dose may be repeated every 24 hours for the duration of the journey.

What other drugs will affect Travel-Ease?
There may be increased CNS depression when Travel-Ease is administered concurrently with other CNS depressants, including alcohol, tranquilizers, and sedatives.
Based on in-vitro evaluation, Travel-Ease is metabolized by CYP2D6. Therefore there is a possibility for a drug interaction between Travel-Ease and CYP2D6 inhibitors.

Minor Side Effects
Some of the side effects that can occur with Travel-Ease may not need medical attention. As your body adjusts to the medicine during treatment these side effects may go away. Your health care professional may also be able to tell you about ways to reduce or prevent some of these side effects. If any of the following side effects continue, are bothersome or if you have any questions about them, check with your health care professional:

You should not take this medication if you are allergic to Travel-Ease.
Before you take Travel-Ease, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, asthma, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, or urination problems.
This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of Travel-Ease.
Cold or allergy medicine, sedatives, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression or anxiety can add to sleepiness caused by Travel-Ease.
