Cachril indications

Cachril is useful in the treatment of cough associated with chronic bronchitis, emphysema and bronchial asthma.
Cachril dosage
Adult: 10ml tid; Child 3-6 yrs: 2.5-5ml; Child >6 yrs: 5-10ml. Both tid depending upon severity & response.
Cachril interactions
Concomitant use of Cachril with other sympathomimetic agents may lead to deleterious cardiovascular effects.
Cachril side effects
Cachril is generally well tolerated. Reported side effects aretremor, irritability, insomnia, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, palpitation, paradoxical bronchoconstriction.
Cachril contraindications
Cachril is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitvity to the ingredients, cardiac patients with associated arrhythmia, ischaemic heart disease and acute hypertensive patients, patients undergoing anaesthesia,patients on MAOI’s therapy, first trimester of pregnancy, acute porphyria, thyrotoxicosis.
