Carecof PLUS is useful in the treatment of cough associated with chronic bronchitis, emphysema and bronchial asthma.
Carecof PLUS dosage
Adult: 10ml tid; Child 3-6 yrs: 2.5-5ml; Child >6 yrs: 5-10ml. Both tid depending upon severity & response.
Carecof PLUS interactions
Concomitant use of Carecof PLUS with other sympathomimetic agents may lead to deleterious cardiovascular effects.
Carecof PLUS side effects
Carecof PLUS is generally well tolerated. Reported side effects aretremor, irritability, insomnia, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, bradycardia, palpitation, paradoxical bronchoconstriction.
Carecof PLUS contraindications
Carecof PLUS is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitvity to the ingredients, cardiac patients with associated arrhythmia, ischaemic heart disease and acute hypertensive patients, patients undergoing anaesthesia,patients on MAOI’s therapy, first trimester of pregnancy, acute porphyria, thyrotoxicosis.
